A Running Tally of Anders' Ailments
this is a photo of what it looks like when people are actually enjoying their vacation in Turkey.
this is Ander's on vacation
Without counting outer body experiences or trips to Mars, this is the first time our friend Andy Ristaino has travelled overseas. Within the last 4 weeks, Anderson has managed to attain more ailments and diseases than St. Vincent's Hospital during rush hour. Here's the tally so far in chronological order:
1. From the first step off of the plane, Fever/Flu/Whooping Cough that lasted two or three weeks.
2. Hitting the asthma crack pipe on an hourly basis the first couple weeks as a result of Item 1.
3. Traveller's diarrhea which hits everyone at some point.
4. Severe toothache as a result of a gum infection in Antalya.
5. Nearly sliding down the face of a cliff in Göreme. (although this really wasn't an ailment. More akin to the stupidity of following me and my path up the mountain. His camera was slightly injured though, and started to make weird grinding noises from the slide.).
6. Mild Sunburn
7. Chronic snoring (again, this one isn't really an ailment, but it gave me insomnia for many nights which in turn made me feel sick from lack of sleep)
8. And the latest ailment here in Kaş - vertigo with vertigo induced nausea and vomiting
Ander's and us in a rare 'stable' moment, sitting center in the captain's position. Thanks to Tavi from the states for sending this photo.
Here are some action photos of Anders having a fun time in Kaş. By the way, Anders approved of this post before going to press. So don't worry everybody, our favorite German tourist is doing okay:
getting visited by the doctor in the hotel room. Sort of looks like the angel of mercy with the white light in the background.
getting IV'd since he couldn't keep anything in his stomach
With only one week to go before he returns to the states, we, as well as his insurance company, are praying that he does not contact any more ailments. Especially not a Beşiktaşing by Mustafa. After the fun times his body has been experiencing, we're not sure whether he'll be travelling abroad again anytime soon. But while lying down fighting off the spinniness of the room, he did manage to give me a thumbs up and ask......
