in cartagena now where it's hot hot hot hot carribean hot hot hot. can't do much until after 4 pm since the humidity weighs about 100 lbs. but the colonial center is beautiful (a UNESCO world heritage site) although a bit touristy. will jump on a boat for playa blanca tomorrow to chill out for a bit.
today's photo was taken a week and a half ago in the cooler mountain region of la zona cafetera (coffee zone), in the cocora valley. these are wax palm trees, the national tree of colombia.
