And then this part confused me. The other conductors started ripping off his shirt and slapping him on the back leaving red marks all over his body, all while the train was moving. Not sure what happened to the piece of fruit though.

I can't believe you didn't find out what they were really doing. It would drive me CRAZY to see that and not know what it was all about. Oh, that's right... I "AM" crazy.
